Yes. IUES is protected by intellectual property rights, including a registered patent for its modular façade system design, along with 10 patents and 9 registered trademarks. Unauthorized reproduction or design infringement is strictly prohibited.

IUES can be applied to both new construction and existing building remodeling projects.

For new construction, specifications such as size and structure can be coordinated during the design phase.

For remodeling, we assess the existing building conditions to determine whether IUES can be properly applied.

The standard exterior finish is a BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaic) panel. However, in areas where solar power generation is not needed—such as north-facing walls, shaded areas, or based on the building owner's preference BIPV panels can be replaced with dry-finish materials such as natural stone, metal panels, or terracotta.

The standard interior finish is a color metal sheet, which is a composite insulated panel available in a variety of paint colors. If you prefer a different type of interior finish, please contact us for customization options.

The weight of IUES varies depending on the unit’s size and components. For reference, an IUES-V-F unit weighs approximately 350 kg.

In most cases, typical RC (reinforced concrete) or steel-framed exterior structures can support IUES without the need for additional reinforcement. However, for older buildings undergoing renovation or buildings with long-span structures, reinforcement may be required.

That’s a great point. As of 2025, Integra is developing a new product designed for rapid modular installation of non-window exterior walls to complement IUES.

In addition, we collaborate with other manufacturers to incorporate products with similar functionality, ensuring that the entire façade can be completed efficiently and in sync with the IUES installation timeline.

IUES is best suited for buildings with repetitive façade layouts, such as schools, government offices, office buildings, and data centers. This maximizes the efficiency of its modular design and factory-based production.

 As of 2025, Integra is developing a version of IUES tailored for multi-family residential buildings. We plan to expand its applications through the Moduwalls series to cover a broader range of building types in the future.

One of the key advantages of IUES is that it can be manufactured in the factory while the building’s structural work is underway. Once the structure is complete, the units can be immediately transported to the site for installation.

The production timeline depends on the building’s size, complexity, and customization requirements. For example, installing IUES on a school building with approximately 27 classrooms—assuming 6 units per classroom (a total of 162 units)—would take around 6 to 8 weeks for production and about 7 to 10 days for on-site installation.

We are planning to expand our production facilities, which will further reduce manufacturing lead times in the future.

BIPV is attached to the outside of the frame, allowing for easy replacement by removing the BIPV itself. Glass breakage, window damage, and other issues can be easily replaced by removing each component. Heat pumps and heat exchangers can be easily removed from the interior, allowing for filter cleaning, component replacement, and complete system replacement.

Developed through a national research and development project, IUES exceeds various national performance standards. It has passed watertightness, airtightness, and thermal transmittance tests, and all accessories are at least semi-combustible. After installation, IUES complies with fire prevention regulations through inter-floor fireproofing. Windows and insulation exceed the standards of the Central 1 region, ensuring compliance with energy-saving design standards.

IUES units come with a basic unit design. However, various designs are available at the architect's request during the design phase. Consultation at the early design stage facilitates customization and saves on additional product development costs.
